What is Jesus doing now? ~ God's Word

Bu curing the sick, raising the dead, and rescuing people in peril, Jesus demonstrated what he would eventually do for all obedient mankind. (Luke 18:35-42; John 5:28-29) After Jesus died, God restored him to life as a spirit person. (1 Peter 3:18) Jesus then waited at God’s right hand and gave him power to rule as King over all the earth. (Hebrews 10:12-13) Now Jesus is ruling as King in heaven, and his follower on earth are announcing the good news world-wide.—Daniel 7:13-14; Matthew 24:14.

Soon, Jesus will use his power as King to put an end to all suffering and those who cause it. Millions who exercise faith in Jesus and obey him will enjoy life in a paradise on earth.—Psalm 37:9-11

Why did Jesus die? ~ God's Word

Who could pay the ransom to free us from death? When we die, we pay the penalty only for our own sins. No imperfect man can pay for the sins of others. –Psalm 49:7-9. Since Jesus did not inherit imperfection from a human father, he died, not because of his own sins, but for the sins of others. God sent his Son to die for us as an expression of his extraordinary love for mankind. Jesus also showed love for us by obeying his Father and giving his life for our sins.—John 3:16; Roman 5:18-19.

Why did Jesus come to earth? ~ God’s Word

God sent his Son to earth by transferring his life from heaven to the womb of a virgin jewess named Mary. So Jesus did not have a human father. (Luke 1:30-35) Jesus came to earth (1) to teach the truth about God, (2) to set an example in doing God’s will, and (3) to give his perfect life as “a ransom.”—Matthew 20:28; John 18:37

Whos is Jesus Christ? - God's Word

Unlike any other humans, Jesus lived in heaven as a spirit person before he was born on earth. (John 8:23) He was God's first creation, and he helped in the creation of all other things. He was called God's "only-begotten" Son. Jesus served as God's Spokesman, so he is also called "the Word." John 1:1-3, 14; Proverbs 8:22,23,30; Colossians 1:15,16.

Jesus died on the cross to save the sins of the world. "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Get rid of Stinking Thinking (Part 1 of 2)

Good morning friends. Many said let us get rid of stink thinking. I believe in that. Sometimes when we think of horrible things even if it’s not happening yet, we feel different. And it affects ourselves. Life is hard but I believe we have to think all positive thoughts so our doings will all be resulted to positive too. Let me tell you something that I had been read in the weekly Beacon of our church. It’s a good one. Here it says …

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (Philippians 2:5).

“You can think your way to failure and unhappiness, but you can also think your way to success and happiness. The world in which you live is not primarily determined by outward conditions and circumstances but by the thoughts that habitually occupy your mind.” Norman Vincent Peale.

Marcus Aurelius said, “A man’s life is what his thoughts make of it.”

It has been said that the wisest man who ever lived in America was Ralph Waldo Emerson, the Sage of Concord. Emerson declared, “A man is what he thinks about all day long.”

If you think you can have revival, you can.

You get what you pray for. If you are praying for revival and believe with all of your heart that revival will come, it will come. It will come with god’s timing, and He is bound by His word. And His word says that He hears us when we pray. If we are seeking for His will and are sincerely seeking revival for our church and community, it will come. We have to believe!

“But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putted in the sickle, because the harvest is come.” (mark 4:29)

If you think your church will grow, it will.

If you are praying for your church to grow, it will. If you plant the seed of faith, and water it with prayers and fasting, the church is destined to grow. It is the will of God for the church to grow. This is His church and He wants it to succeed. We have to get our thinking right, get our attitudes straightened up and get on board with what God has in store for us.

Going Kung Fu Christian! (Part 2 of 3)

Good morning everyone. This is the second part of my article. I wish you are still following. Let me continue now …

But the main area to which the ‘Chinese applied this term was spiritual discipline. They knew (and so do we) that the way to excellence in all life started with the training and conditioning of your soul.

Which leads me to a question…? Are you a kung fu Christian?

No, I don’t mean like a black belt in Bible and you’re able to use your fish symbol like a Chinese throwing star… HAI YA!

I’m talking about the training and conditioning of your spiritual life with Jesus Christ. You see, the Christian life is not simp0ly fire insurance from hell, it is so so SO much more than that. To simply trust in Jesus as your only hope of salvation and then leave it at that is like accepting a free ticket to a martial arts movie instead of playing a key role IN the movie! God has a major part for each and every believer, but trust me, it is no walk in the park.

Why? Because if you don’t train, you won’t be ready for the fight. You are up against a bully more powerful than any other in the universe. His goal is to “steal, kill, and destroy” you (John 10:10), and he has been studying spiritual martial arts far longer than you. Fortunately, you have a Trainer and a training manual that will bring you victory every time you engage… but you have to be disciplined and follow your Mater, Jesus Christ.

One of the greatest ‘ kung fu Christians’ of all time is the Apostle Paul. Here is his training advice:

All athletes are disciplines in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step.

Practicing Self-Control (2 of 2)

Self-denial is a must: Stop kidding yourself that you can develop self-control without giving up some of the things you like to do. give up the move, refuse the sweet, turn off the TV, shorten the telephone call, refrain from telling the story . . . Where will you start to say no to yourself? Don’t consider it a decision against some form of fun, but a decision for some desired goal. You might even offer the sacrifice of an innocent pleasure as a prayer for another who needs God’s help in some manner.

I’ve noticed often that the more small pleasure a person gives up to concentrate on one important task, the stronger he becomes. Jesus Christ was the greatest example of One Who depended on self-denial for strength to perform His ministry. And He put it in these words to His disciples: “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24)

Remember that the ultimate in self-control is not for you to become master of your fate, but to be above to serve a higher Master. -N.V.P.

The Holy Door

The Holy Door symbolizes Jesus Christ, who said: “I am the gate: whoever enters through me will be saved” (John 10:9). As it was prophesied. “This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter” (Psalm 118:20). By passing through the Holy Door we profess that Jesus is the Messiah.
