Get rid of Stinking Thinking (Part 2 of 2)

Good morning everyone. Second part of my article will now here …..

Rick Warren, in his book A Purpose Driven Church, tells us to not ask the question “Why is the church not growing,” but to ask, “What is causing the church to not grow.” Whenever we get our thinking on the right path, the church will begin to grow and mature. Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” (1 Cor. 3:6)

If you think you can have harmony amongst your leadership, you can.

Always strive for unity among the leadership team of your church. There will be times of disagreement regarding certain issues, but you can have these disagreements and still maintain unity among your leaders. The Devil will target leadership teams in an effort to bring the whole church down. Knowing this, make it a priority to pray and fast over your leadership team and always think positively concerning them.

● “Great things will happen with our team.”
● “Great results will occur in our meetings.”
● “We will maintain harmony and unity among our brothers and sisters.”

If you think positively, positive things will happen.

It’s as easy as that. Positive thinking produces positive results. However, negative thinking produces negative results as well. It’s time to get rid of the negative mindset that most have. It’s easy to be negative. It’s easy to find the worst in any situation. Anyone can do that. But, we need spiritual leaders and pastors who recognize where we live and what’s going on around us, but still believe in the awesome power of our God! Don’t be afraid to start that new project or that new program in your church because of past failures. You will never hit the target if you stop shooting!

It’s time to have a checkup from the neck up and get rid of stinking thinking!

Finally, bretheren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8)

The Narrow Way (4)

Because of the narrowness of the way demanded by God, business for the believer cannot be merely a profession, but must be part of God’s divine intention. The Lord has specific purposes and a life plan for every one of His children. Those who are called to business can expect His grace to always be sufficient for every struggle, sort or crisis, but they must make their calling sure. It is important to periodically seek the Lord in concentrated prayer to confirm His calling after eighteen years of success as a builders, on day Jesus left and never returned to that work.

If the cross of Jesus is allowed to do its cleansing work in the believing businessman, his conscience may be made clean to work wholeheartedly in the creation of wealth from the dust of unrighteous Mammon. It s the crucial power of the cleansing blood of Jesus that, through holiness, releases the energies, gifts and latent in the life of the believer. This purity which is given by grace from God needs to be cherished and protected. Even though the Bible says, “to the pure, al things are pure,” (TITUS 1.15) if a pure-hearted believer engage in sinful or immoral work, the result is that he or she will no longer be pure, Jesus said.

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it (MATHEW 7.13-14)
